Let Me Entertain You! Molossi Moodboard Challenge!

Molossi is hosting a special Mood Board Challenge this month and we want you to come play along!!! Make a creation based on this moodboard below and you could be in with a change to win a $40 gift pack with free shipping worldwide!! Awesome prize!!

My layout uses tons of products from the Molossi Online Shop!! Here you can see several collections of Graphic 45 papers that are carried in the shop, from the blue background paper from Secret Garden, the orange papers from Couture, the fussy cut butterfly from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe and in the photo below the two die cut pieces from French Country. All these collections and so many more are available at Molossi!  I used two of the gorgeous orange Felicity flower from Manor House Creations for my layout, adding in some gorgeous Molossi Paper Roses in light blue.

My featured chipboard is the Molossi Heart Doily (currently sold out but please check out the gorgeous selection in the store) which I sprayed with Dylusions Pure Sunshine spray in , brushing some Derivan Low Viscosity Gesso onto it to age it.

This layout has a photo of my daughter and one of her ballet BFFs in their roles in Alice in Wonderland for their end of the year show. My daughter was so excited to be Alice!! The stamps I used for this theme are the Time After Time set for the watch and the Harley the Jester set for the title Let Me Entertain You and for the cards. Both these are from Visible Image and really help make the Alice theme!

You need to be a blog owner to play (so you can link up to your blog). Please do not link up to galleries, as commenting is often a problem for our design team. If we are not members of the same gallery we will not be able to gain access to your work easily to leave comments.

Molossi 2014 Chipboard DT

I am so delighted to be the coordinator for the Molossi chipboard team and we are opening our 2014 call now! With our chipboard being much of our focus this year we have decided it was time to call our 2014 Design Team - we need 3 Designers to play with our designs. Applications are now open. We are in search of 3 talented designers to help showcase and demonstrate on a monthly basis our chipboard range.  If this Designer title sounds like you and you would like to join us in  2014, please email us at info@molossi.com.au
What we need from you for your application is 3 of your best pieces using chipboard.  Applications are open to Australia and International Designers.
If successful we need you to: Be able to commit for  12 months to the team. Sign a Design Team contract - terms and Conditions thoroughly outlaid.
Submit minimum 3 design pieces each month. Draft the blog post on our blog for scheduling Be prepared for your designs to be used in classroom kits and resale. Social networking is required (any problems with this please provide this with your application). As  Design Team member you will be asked to actively promote the products we have on offer.  Take high quality, clear, respectable photos of work in .jpg format. Access to a good scanner, or the ability to take a good picture of your project is also a must.  Without these items  we will not be able to see the fine detail in your work.
Provide you monthly products at no cost, Molossi will pay the shipping and handling on your Design Team supplies.  In return for supplies, we retain the right to display your work in our galleries after your term ends.
Recognition and promotion of your skills and creativity.
Purchasing from Molossi at wholesale prices for your duration as a Design Team Member. First in on new products coming our way.

Reindeer Ornaments featuring Molossi Chipboard

I bought these glittery reindeer ornaments before I received my DT pack from Molossi for December. How perfect were these reindeer name chipboards for making these cute ornaments even more special!!

I simply added some vintage seam binding banners and inked the chipboard red with my Brick Wall Distress Ink. Easy Peasy and so effective!! My girls have claimed some of these and will attach the others to some presents!!

Deck the Halls

Today I wanted to share a layout I did using the gorgeous C'est Magnifique December kit and Molossi chipboard! I just love the Christmas song title chippies that came in my DT pack, this time I am using Deck the Halls (inked in the Cardinal Red versacolor ink in my kit) and a photo of my youngest, the camera shy Aisling hanging an ornament on the tree last weekend. 

The flowers, wooden clock, paper and banner and star stickers are all from the kit and the tree is yet another gorgeous Molossi piece which I inked with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

I used the gorgeous sketch from Sketchbook 365 for this layout and would love to enter it into their challenge! I also would love to enter this second layout for the Inkido Snowflakes or Stars challenge this month, using their gorgeous Happy Christmas papers and lots of chipboard stars and stars on their paper!!

Italian Journey - Thursday DT Post for Visible Image

This week I wanted to share a layout featuring Visible Image's new and hugely popular Ripped Fishnet stamp!! I knew when I saw this stamp I wanted to do a layout featuring beach or sea theme! It makes the perfect netting background. I used my Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder for a great rough texture for the netting!

I also had this great Molossi Dove chipboard piece (used here for me as a sea gull!!) that worked perfectly with the bird stamp from the Free Your Imagination Stamp Set! I inked the birds in Walnut Stain and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks and had them flying across the page from one corner to the other!

And because it is just a beautiful brilliant background stamp (say that 5 times fast!) I inked up the Bronte Border again for this layout to add some beautiful detail! It really is a great script stamp to have in your arsenal! I also misted and gessoed another Molossi piece, Flower Swirl #1.

I added some corregated board, a piece of lace I dyed to match the layout, some shells I stole from my girls stash (better buy some before I steal them all!!) and a tag for journaling. I wrote here about all we learned about on our Italian journey, how to enjoy the slow pace and not try to see every cultural monument on our checklist...our children taught us we needed balance in our schedule, time for just having fun while we were there too!!

Simply Lovely - My First DT Layout for Scrap Africa!!

I am so excited to be sharing my layout for my first challenge on the DT of Scrap Africa!! This weeks challenge is a "RESIST" challenge! I did two different types of resist techniques on this layout!

On my gorgeous Molossi chipboard butterfly I heat embossed my beautiful Visible Image Bronte Border script stamp...I just love that stamp, such a great addition to any layout and it looks gorgeous here on the butterfly. I took my Peacock Feather and Walnut Stain Distress Inks and inked the background of the butterfly and just love how it turned out!

The second resist I tried was molding paste/gesso resist. I used my checkerboard stencil from Prima to add molding paste to the layout, then sprayed Moonshadow spray over it and wiped the paste clean again so it  stood out against the sprayed background...I added this in several places around the layout.

I used my gorgeous October kit from C'est Magnifique to make this layout, mixing the 7 Dots and Tilda papers included and the chalkboard frames and gorgeous flowers... I added some chicken wire chipboard pieces and nests of black thread to the layout as a finishing touch.

I would love to enter this into the Scrap Around the World challenge. I used the colors (pinks and blues!) and doilies (I used a doily mask on the background) and the sketch:

Sunday Fun: Cards featuring Molossi chipboard and Tilda Summer Blue papers

Just a quick post today to share with you some cards using gorgeous Molossi chipboard pieces! My first card features the gorgeous Small Dress Form #1. It is so intricately cut out I couldn't cover up the chipboard in thick paint so I used gorgeous chalk ink for great coverage and color! I added a quick sentiment some coordinated cut out pieces and paper from Tilda Summer Blues and some gorgeous velvet ribbon in my stash! Simple and elegant, I just love the touch the chipboard adds!

My second card also features the Tilda papers, this one reminds me of a china plate setting. I added a small key from the chipboard Door Handles and Keys set, a doily and some more ribbon and twine. Simple and elegant with a fun French greeting!

For my final card I used some more of the gorgeous green patterned paper and added a tag by Heather Hudson. I took some fencing wire panel chipboard and made it like a trellis for my rose image, again I inked the chippie with pink Prima chalk ink.

I Love Watching You Growing Up Together!

Excited to say that this was featured at Scrap for Help!!

My girls are growing up so fast, sometimes they get along great, sometimes one wrong look and World War 3 breaks out. Last summer they had such a great day out building sand castles and collecting shells on the beach in Oregon, I wanted to document that. They fight a lot, and I know it will probably get worse as they get closer to their teen years, but they do love each other and they can still play amazingly well together sometimes! I still can't believe sometimes that I am a mom to these beautiful little personalities, they make me proud, they tire me out, they exasperate me. I love them so much, and it brings a tear to my eye to see time passing by so fast. I am so glad I am their mom!!

I'd love to enter this in the 7 Dots Nature challenge, I used shells we collected from the beach trip! I also used the gorgeous sketch from Once Upon a Sketch and used the word grow for the theme of the layout. My journaling above is written on the back of the layout.

I used several items in this layout from Tresors de Luxe. I sprayed the Ivory Venice Lace (LA-025) with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal.

I used a Rustic Shabby Chic Pale Aqua cluster (FL-20)

and Tea Green Velvet and Rhinestone Flower (FL-004). I thought the pale green flower reminded me of sea

anenome and worked well with the beach theme!! 

The final little touch from Tresors de Luxe is the Tiny Shabby Chic Wooden Clothespin (FL-024)
 that holds my title. Just love using these!!

I love the Molossi chipboard Fence Wire Panel (small) that I used here. It reminded me of fishing netting and I thought it would work great here for added texture for the layout! I sprayed it here with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal mist.

I used real shells from our beach trip, beautiful 7 Dots Dreamer paper and stickers, and gorgeous flowers and lace from Tresors de Luxe.

Finally, I'd love to enter this in Berry71Bleu's Anything Goes challenge and the Scrap for Help Bubble Wrap challenge, I used my distress inks and some bubble wrap I had in my office to make the bubbles on the layout!

Happy...With You - Molossi Chipboard DT

Can I say again how much I love the Molossi chipboard that arrives in my DT package each month. Suzanne and Josh do an amazing job choosing stunning chipboard just perfect for the style of layouts I love to do and I appreciate it so much!

This layout features their Decorative Arch -SMALL chipboard. It is so intricate and worked perfectly with this photo of my husband and I getting married under an arch oh so many years ago (could it be... 18 years this July, wow!!) I piled on the flowers over the arch and added some broken jewelry chain and beads and some gorgeous lace I had in my stash. The paper is from Maja Designs Spring Basics.

The beautiful butterflies are from my scrappy friend Lisa Novogrodski's Etsy shop.

The Couture Creations Jasmine Dream die is a perfect leafy flourish die, I love to cut up the stem into pieces to add leafy accents to a cluster.

I based this layout on a gorgeous sketch at Purple Pumpkin:

My layout took a life of its own, and I ended up using the flowers and lace and distress inks to echo the background of the sketch...I hope you like it!!

I also incorporated this weeks CSI challenge for this layout:

I used all the colors, for the evidence I used lace and flowers and distressed the edge of the 12x12 paper with distress ink...I used jewels aka beads, chain and cameo from a broken necklace, a wood banner and gold. For my testimony I documented our wedding and the fact that we are still laughing together after nearly 20 years knowing each other!

And exciting news I found out today that I made it 

to the second round of the May Arts Design Team!!
