Summer Daze

I just had to scrap this photo of my girls and friends this summer in our back garden! I just love it!! A bright happy photo deserves bright happy paper, so I decided to use the Tilda Summer Blues papers that came in my C'est Magnifique October kit. I fussy cut several elements from one sheet, punched out some butterflies, and then added some gorgeous flowers and lace from Tresors de Luxe!

I used the gorgeous Sketchabilities #101 sketch to make this layout, I loved the clothes pages and line they had and decided I needed to do that for my layout, using the Tresors Tiny Shabby Chic Wooden Clothespins (FL-024). I also used a gorgeous Light Pink Grosgrain Ribbon Flower (FL-007) and the Pink Fabric Flower Spray with White Pearls (PF-041). The laces I used were White Venice Lace Trim (LA-090) and the second one I can't find on the website, it must be sold out!!

I had a lot of fun making this one, and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Happiness!

I decided to join in the Berry71Bleu sketch and mixed media challenge this month so used their gorgeous sketch and added some stamping, masking and misting! I love this sweet photo of my daughter Aisling, I just wish she would look at the camera more often, so many photos I have of her have her looking in the distance!

I decided to use my Martha Stewart Texture Effect and my new Prima brick wall mask...I just love the look it has with the mist and the texture! I added some Maya Road birdcages, some Kaisercraft die cuts and some gorgeous Tresors de Luxe lace and flowers to finish it off.

Thanks so much for looking!!

Cousins and Friends - GDT for Scrap Africa Washi and Twine Challenge!

I am so excited to be guest designing for Scrap Africa for the Washi Tape and Twine challenge today!!

For this layout I used some gorgeous Paper Temptress Silver Lustre papers and gorgeous lace and flowers from Tresors de Luxe. The base of my layout is the gorgeous 12x12 Laser Silver Lustre paper. This paper is amazing for taking distress inks...my frame and butterfly were inked up but the columns pattern is nearly 3D with the effect it has and the silver columns seem to float above the inked surfaces, amazing!!  I then layered many many strips of tape as a background, swirling some white button twine around the background for movement...I added my inked frame behind my photo lifted up on foam tape.

You can see the Rustic Shabby Chic Flower Embellishment (FL-028) and Embroidered Heart Lace Trim (LA-080) above in the close up. These come from Tresors de Luxe. There is an amazing selection of flowers and trims there, have a look!!

I finished off the layout with some Martha Stewart Monarch Punch Butterflies and a bit of  harlequin patterned background stamping.

I used the gorgeous sketch and monochromatic color theme from Scrap Around the World for this layout.

Firenze - September GDT for Scraps of Elegance

I am so excited again to share another layout I did using the gorgeous Scraps of Elegance kit. This time I featured the gorgeous FabScraps Shabbylicious that came in the kit.  I just love the tags that we got in a set of die cut papers from Fabscraps, I tucked them in and around my layout. The gorgeous laces are from Tresors de Luxe.
.

The corrugated cardboard is from an earlier kit (I have been a subscriber for over a year and just love them!!). I just love the Fabscraps chair chippie and painted that with some Creative Inspirations Tanzanite paint.

There is a lot of Maya Road and Prima goodness in the kit too: flowers, trinkets, resins, bling.... Mel really knows how to put together a perfect mix of embellies and papers!

I did this layout based on a great sketch by Tusia Lech and would love to enter this in the Allt Om Scrap September Challenge

Autumn Memories

I had such a fun time putting this layout together!! I am applying for the Creative Expressions design team and they asked us to put together a project using stamping and an autumn theme. I added a lot of other mediums and layers and really just had a great time playing!!

I started my layout by adding bead paste through a Crafters Workshop circle mask. I added Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stains in Witches Potion Purple, Red Hot Poker Orange, and Green with Envy Green to the background, die cuts and laces.

I started my layers with some corrugated board to which I added more bead gel and lots of gesso and distress ink. I added a great autumn photo of my daughters and some friends.

Under the photo on the right hand side I added a layer of embossed paper from my DT Couture Creation's Peacock Pleasure Embossing Folder from their Fresh and Fun Collection. I tore the edges then I sprayed the orange and purple mists to color it, adding some Picket Fence Distress Stain I sprayed through a Mini Mister (I saw Tim Holtz doing that on a video once and it adds a great texture and detail to the piece.) I also added a gorgeous Endless Dreams Summer Dragonfly and Sophia Stella Intricutz die cut from Couture Creations, spraying them with Lindy's sprays again.

I used the gorgeous stamp set from RubberNecker stamps, Fancy Foliage as the focus of my embellishments. I stamped the large and small autumn leaf stamps in Dusty Concord Distress Ink, Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I added Lindy's Orbit Olive Gold embossing powder on the edges of the leaves to give them a golden autumnal sparkle. I just love the Albert Camus quote as well and used that for the layout, I thought it fit perfectly.

I used 7 Dots paper and stickers on the layout, a gorgeous doily, lace and a wooden clip from Tresors de Luxe. I also did some background texture stamping with a new Prima stamp and finished off the layout with random applications of gesso on the background, lace and embellies. If you look underneath the layers you can see two soda can clips inked in alcohol ink as well, a fun metal embellishment inspired by the current Scrap for Help challenge!

I would love to enter this in the Scrap for Help Soda Can Clip Challenge the 7 Dots Memory Challenge and the Lindy's Stamp Gang September Color Challenge:

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me today!!

I Love Watching You Growing Up Together!

Excited to say that this was featured at Scrap for Help!!

My girls are growing up so fast, sometimes they get along great, sometimes one wrong look and World War 3 breaks out. Last summer they had such a great day out building sand castles and collecting shells on the beach in Oregon, I wanted to document that. They fight a lot, and I know it will probably get worse as they get closer to their teen years, but they do love each other and they can still play amazingly well together sometimes! I still can't believe sometimes that I am a mom to these beautiful little personalities, they make me proud, they tire me out, they exasperate me. I love them so much, and it brings a tear to my eye to see time passing by so fast. I am so glad I am their mom!!

I'd love to enter this in the 7 Dots Nature challenge, I used shells we collected from the beach trip! I also used the gorgeous sketch from Once Upon a Sketch and used the word grow for the theme of the layout. My journaling above is written on the back of the layout.

I used several items in this layout from Tresors de Luxe. I sprayed the Ivory Venice Lace (LA-025) with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal.

I used a Rustic Shabby Chic Pale Aqua cluster (FL-20)

and Tea Green Velvet and Rhinestone Flower (FL-004). I thought the pale green flower reminded me of sea
anenome and worked well with the beach theme!!

The final little touch from Tresors de Luxe is the Tiny Shabby Chic Wooden Clothespin (FL-024)
that holds my title. Just love using these!!

I love the Molossi chipboard Fence Wire Panel (small) that I used here. It reminded me of fishing netting and I thought it would work great here for added texture for the layout! I sprayed it here with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal mist.

I used real shells from our beach trip, beautiful 7 Dots Dreamer paper and stickers, and gorgeous flowers and lace from Tresors de Luxe.

Finally, I'd love to enter this in Berry71Bleu's Anything Goes challenge and the Scrap for Help Bubble Wrap challenge, I used my distress inks and some bubble wrap I had in my office to make the bubbles on the layout!

You Are My Wild Irish Rose

I just love when many of my design team products work so perfectly together!! I am here to share this layout today using gorgeous Couture Creations dies, embossing folders and adhesive gemstones, stunning Paper Temptress papers and beautiful Tresors de Luxe laces and flowers.

I started this project using gorgeous Cryogen White shimmery cardstock, it took the mist, stamping and
molding paste background just amazingly! I then added a gorgeous piece of Ivory Venice Lace (LA-020) from Tresors de Luxe to start building my layout.

I used some Paper Temptress Kiwi vellum and the largest die from the Victorian Square Nesting Die set to make two embossed die cuts to layer with my daughter's photo. I also used some leftover vellum to cut out the Endless Dream Jasmine Dream die and Diary Tag die to add extra details to my layout.

I layered the two Victorian Square nesting die cut outs under the photo and attached them to the layout with Couture Creations double sided tape.

Next, I cut out several diecuts from the Endless Dreams Fresh Flower die and the Endless Dreams Diary Tag die, which I put the title to my layout inside and layered the kiwi vellum die cut on top, as well as Couture Creations Adhesive Gems in Vintage Gold.

I used Paper Temptress Silver Lustre cardstock to make my Endless Dreams Fresh Flower tulips and my roses from the Daisy Nesting dies (see my tutorial for these flowers here). The silver shimmer on these flowers echos the gorgeous big bling in the centre of this gorgeous apple green grosgrain ribbon flower (FL-008).

I finished off the layout by adding the gorgeous Rustic Shabby Chic Flower Cluster with Wooden Beads (FL-029) and attaching my title and leafy flourish.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!!
