Winter Cards with Summery Newport Collection

I have had these sweet wintry images printed out and waiting on my desk for ages and I thought the colors were just right to use with the gorgeous Compass paper in the Newport collection. I hope you enjoy my wintry cards!!

My first card uses the warm wooden plank design of the paper, I thought it worked perfectly with the trees in the background of this image. There is pink, blue and green in the image so I used some lovely pink and green flowers from my stash and some pink ink to edge the paper and the image. I used a doily from my stash to matte the image and I finished off the card with a twine bow.

My second card feature a vintage girl all dressed up for snow and uses blues, yellows and greens. I used the blue and green side of the beautiful paper and another doily from my stash to matte this photo. Again I added some blue and green flowers from my stash, as well as a gorgeous velvety leaf and another twine bow. I used some green ink to tone in with the image on the edge of the paper.

For my final card I used another cute vintage image of some wintry kids! I used the same paper for the base of my card, adding some blue and green flowers from my stash. Again I kept the same elements of  the doily and twine bows to keep the theme going.

I hope that you enjoy my cards and see that you can use a gorgeous beachy summery collection like Newport for wintertime too!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Happy 13th! for Berry71bleu November Challenge

Hi scrappy friends!! I'm here today sharing my take on Berry71bleu's November Mood Board. I usually do layouts for this challenge but my daughter's birthday was this past weekend and I really wanted to make a vintage card for her!

For my base layer I used a gorgeous wooden page "Compass" from the new Riddersholm Design collection Newport. This tones in pefectly with the wood in the mood board. I added lots of metal pieces on the card, adding some turquoise paint to give a distressed and aged look. I've also added lace and the brown and blue colors from the moodboard.

My daughter is obsessed with ballet and so of course I had to use a vintage ballerina on my card for her, adding a few modern touches like the Happy 13. I used the Special cut out from collection and love the metal key that says "dreams" and the the word tag that says "the journey awakens the soul", they fit well for her big dream of dancing and the journey she is taking. She may or may not make it to her final destination of a professional careeer but I hope she enjoys the journey along the way!

Here is the gorgeous moodboard Sylwia created:

Christmas Cosy - Enjoy Christmas!

November is here and it is getting colder and the days are getting shorter! Christmas is already on my mind! I decided that I needed to use the gorgeous new Christmas Cosy collection from Riddersholm Designs!!

For my base page I chose the beautiful Tainted paper from the Christmas Cosy collection.

The image and title I got from the Cosy Cutout page. I absolutely love this dreamy vintage image and have wrapped it up with twine and added the tag title to it, reminiscent of a present all tied up for Christmas!  I have tucked in osome gorgeous Petaloo berries leaves and flowers and added the gorgeous Winter Branch pine branch die from La-La Land Crafts in my clusters as well.

I have used a gorgeous Wycinaka snowflake chipboard. I love the little deer design, it matches perfectly with the paper design!!... You can also see here the glitter glass I have used on the background along with the splashes of mist and masked snowflakes!  A very wintry layout!

It has been ages since I have entered a challenge and I would love to enter this into the Scrap Around the World November challenge. Here is their gorgeous moodboard:

I used the gorgeous blues and reds and the Christmas theme from the moodboard. It IS the most wonderful time of the year and I hope you "Enjoy Christmas!!"
