Autumn Memories

I had such a fun time putting this layout together!! I am applying for the Creative Expressions design team and they asked us to put together a project using stamping and an autumn theme. I added a lot of other mediums and layers and really just had a great time playing!!

I started my layout by adding bead paste through a Crafters Workshop circle mask. I added Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stains in Witches Potion Purple, Red Hot Poker Orange, and Green with Envy Green to the background, die cuts and laces.

I started my layers with some corrugated board to which I added more bead gel and lots of gesso and distress ink. I added a great autumn photo of my daughters and some friends.

Under the photo on the right hand side I added a layer of embossed paper from my DT Couture Creation's Peacock Pleasure Embossing Folder from their Fresh and Fun Collection. I tore the edges then I sprayed the orange and purple mists to color it, adding some Picket Fence Distress Stain I sprayed through a Mini Mister (I saw Tim Holtz doing that on a video once and it adds a great texture and detail to the piece.) I also added a gorgeous Endless Dreams Summer Dragonfly and Sophia Stella Intricutz die cut from Couture Creations, spraying them with Lindy's sprays again.

I used the gorgeous stamp set from RubberNecker stamps, Fancy Foliage as the focus of my embellishments. I stamped the large and small autumn leaf stamps in Dusty Concord Distress Ink, Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I added Lindy's Orbit Olive Gold embossing powder on the edges of the leaves to give them a golden autumnal sparkle. I just love the Albert Camus quote as well and used that for the layout, I thought it fit perfectly.

I used 7 Dots paper and stickers on the layout, a gorgeous doily, lace and a wooden clip from Tresors de Luxe. I also did some background texture stamping with a new Prima stamp and finished off the layout with random applications of gesso on the background, lace and embellies. If you look underneath the layers you can see two soda can clips inked in alcohol ink as well, a fun metal embellishment inspired by the current Scrap for Help challenge!

I would love to enter this in the Scrap for Help Soda Can Clip Challenge the 7 Dots Memory Challenge and the Lindy's Stamp Gang September Color Challenge:

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me today!!
