Nature Walk

So excited to say this was on the Watch List for CSI!

I did this layout for the C'est Magnifique sketch using the gorgeous June kit. Here is the sketch:

I also did this for CSI Challenge #77:

My evidence: leaves, envelope, twine, pearls, wood, vintage botanical and circle tags!
My testimony: I put a story into an envelope and used the inspiration word Nature for my title. The story tells about another nature walk we took so many years ago and how much they have grown since, though we always find the walk and the treasures we find magical!!

Fancy

I used the July C'est Magnifique kit to make this layout and get it uploaded just under the wire. I just love this chain chippie!! So glad there are two in the set to use again! This photo of my daughter I printed out last week is just perfect with this as she has lots of bead necklaces on which remind me of the chain...

Beautiful Prima Flowers and fussy cutting from the UHK and Kaisercraft papers in the kit.

I'd love to enter it in the Blue Fern Studio sketch challenge. Have a look at the gorgeous sketch:

My Guilty Pleasure

I missed the deadline to enter this at Once Upon a Sketch, by minutes I think!! Arg...that is what being a zombie after a night up with small children does to you! She was better by morning, but I was dragging! I really did have fun pulling out some flowers and photographing my drawer of flowery goodness though, so am still glad I did it.

Here is the gorgeous sketch:

The theme this month was Guilty Pleasures :) I decided buying scrappy supplies and quite possibly my flowers were my guiltiest pleasure at the moment. While chatting with a scrappy friend online I said, "Geesh I have a crazy amount of flower packs, I bet I have 50!!" Well, I started counting them and got to 110...on the first row of two in the overstuffed drawer! And I don't buy flowers anymore...very often!! I swear!

I used my June C'est Magnifique kit, full of Maja Designs Spring Basics, gorgeous flowers and embellies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Nature's Joy and a Happy Announcement!

Here is my entry for the C'est Magnifique April sketch. Everything here is from the main kit, bar the twine and small bling swirls, just love how packed full of goodies the kits are :) I did some lacing used the split paper like in the sketch, and the chippie... I left the chippie raw as it seemed to fit in with the natural theme of the layout better and looks gorgeous as it is!

This is the gorgeous sketch this layout is based on:

In other news, I have an exciting announcement ! I tried out for the design team for Sugar Creek Hollow, a shabby chic and vintage card challenge site which is right up my alley, as those are the kinds I design for my local cafe card stand!! I am happy to say I was invited to join the team!! Look here Saturday to see my first card reveal.

Magenta cards and Creative Inspirations Paint!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I am entering this first card in Magenta's April challenge: Stitching and/or Fussy Cutting. Although I won in March and don't expect to win again so soon (no need to include my name in the draw for April!), I still want to participate as I use my last scraps of paper to make these few cards!

Here is my entry with some stitching for the Magenta challenge... I would also like to enter this for the Anything Goes challenge at Creative Inspirations Paint! I recently won some Creative Inspirations paint and just love how the gold paint covered my chippie piece, the shimmer is just amazing!

I did two more with my leftover papers! This one shows off the beautiful tanzanite and gold paints I got from Creative Inspirations...

Guest Designer at Keeping The Best!

I recently won a challenge at Keeping the Best and was given a chance to Guest Design for Sketch #57! The Sketch challenge has now gone live and I have done my first guest designing gig ever, so EXCITING!! I used the beautiful Magenta papers in the C'est Magnifique kit, some flowers from my stash and some Dylusion sprays! These were taken around sunset one summer evening fishing with my dad on a trip home to the States...brings back warm summer memories with these sunset colors.

Woodland Beauties

I wasn't sure if I was going to get time to work on this month's sketch, but I made time today to get out my March C'est Magnifique kit, my new punches DH brought back from the States, and some Couture Creations goodies to play! I used a beautiful butterfly from my friend Renea, and even remembered some microbeads I had in my stash since I started (a generous RAK from a friend) so tried them out...Got out the molding paste and stencils, gesso and mist... I really tried out a lot of things and had fun!

Beauty

Yay, this layout was featured for the February C'est Magnifique challenge!!

Here is my entry to the February C'est Magnifique sketch, I swear I misted the gorgeous chipboard frame with purple and green mists then coated with some gesso randomly...it kinda just looks brown here, but it is lovely and shimmery in real life :) This layout is chock full of February kit goodness with a few small things from my stash. I even cut out the images from the Blue Fern packaging. I only managed this layout from the kit this month, but hope to use more of the papers soon!!

Here is the yummy sketch:

Shine

I'm excited to say this was featured on the C'est Magnifique blog for the January sketch!!

Here is my entry for this month's C'est Magnifique sketch challenge. I just love doing these with my current kit! Loving all the goodies in this kit yet again, Leslie doesn't disappoint! My youngest girl with a rare smile (she runs away from cameras more often than not!) I just love this photo!

I am also entering this in the CR84FN final color challenge...so sorry I started doing this challenge on the last week it is running!! Have enjoyed the inspiration for a few months now though!

December Snow

This layout was featured on the Manor House flowers blog and
was on the Watch List for CSI!!

Here is my layout I did for Once Upon a Sketch and CSI! I used my gorgeous December C'est Magnifique Kit and some flowers and embellies from past CM kits to make this layout. It is a photo of Aine starting a snowman during a very rare December snow back in 2010.

Here is the gorgeous OUAS sketch:

The challenge for CSI is here:

I used the colors and circles, texture paste, glitter, snowflakes, beads and puffy pain for my evidence and journalled on a tag for my testimony! I don't seem to have too much luck at CSI, but I sure enjoy doing the challenges!

Little Snow Birds

This was featured on Scrap for Help, C'est Magnifique sketch challenge,
and made the watch list on CSI!

I absolutely love the papers in the December C'est Magnifique kit, gorgeous colors, delicate beautiful designs as always from Pion Design papers... This is the layout I did using the yummy CM December sketch.

As part of the challenge for Scrap for Help (I won their November challenge, so exciting, my first time ever and amongst some gorgeous competition!) we were supposed to incorporate a paper bag into our layout! I used a paper bag to make several bitty blossoms flowers and sparkled them up with my new Donna Salazar fairy dust glitter...

I also did this layout as part of the CSI challenge for this week. I rolled up and tied my journalling with ribbon for something fun and different...

I am also entering this in the Scrap Africa challenge which you are supposed to add filmstrips.

My Little Domestic Goddess

I have been busy all month with the girls, my husband has been travelling and busy with audits at work, so have only gotten a chance to pull out my yummy November C'est Magnifique kit 2 days before month's end. I already have my next kit waiting in the wings!

I didn't want to skip a sketch challenge though because I have loved all of Nadia's sketches and am finding new sketch designer Michelle Singh's sketches amazing as well. Here is a look at the gorgeous sketch.

And here is what I did with the sketch using the gorgeous November kit. This is a photo of my youngest daughter Aisling trying to make up a bottle of her formula in the kitchen... Since the paper is 7 Dots Domestic Goddess, beautiful papers by the talented Finnabair, I thought a domestic goddess baby image would be fun to scrap!

Joyce Lawrence on the DT issued a challenge on the CM forum to use staples and to use brads, and I kept that in the back of my mind here, adding some staples on the left and two screwhead brads under the cluster on the right. I had fun taking out my Tim Holtz mini paper clips and the little metal pick that is holding the sweet sticker...I think this is the first time in ages getting those out!

I also used the copper paint included in the kit to do some masked chevrons, for some reason I keep adding them to layouts!! Though my clusters covered almost all of the chevrons on the right, I see a tiny bit peeping behind the butterflies lol!! I will enter this into the Scrap Africa chevron challenge this month too...

My daughter Aine turned 10 this month (see layout below, lol!!) and we got a few photos of her and her buddies at the local roller rink...I thought I needed to add back a bit about my family and girls in the blog, I started blogging about my crafts and my kids and need to go back to including a bit of both I think!!
