 We have come up with a fun challenge for 2014.  Each month our designers will be given a challenge of creating their projects using a certain color scheme.  This month our theme is White.  It will be so much fun to see how each designer interprets the color.  Go grab your favorite snack, get comfortable and enjoy the hop.

The main prize is a $25.00 gift certificate to the Paper Wings Productions online store.

My white project is a vintage card. I used the gorgeous angels image from the Winged Things Clip Art Sheet. The wooden chippie and the paper come from the sold out November Nesting Component Mixed Media kit and the sentiment comes from the Brave Girls Cling Stamp Set and is embossed in white. I have added some white seam binding, a doily, a pale flower, gesso, and some stitching!

Our Friendship is Tailormade: A Card for Creative Expressions

This month we have some gorgeous stamps to work with, some fun handbag stamps, and some gorgeous A5 Umount Antique Dressform stamps!! This week I decided to take out my dress form stamps and my Tim Holtz paper stash which features some great sewing papers and make a rather clean and simple card (for me, anyway!!).

I used the yummy Crowded Attic Paper Stash by Tim Holtz and chose the very appropriate sewing papers for this card. I edged them all with gorgeous Summer Blue Gilding Wax. Creative Expressions has a new formula for their gilding waxes, and though they were great before, they are even easier to apply now!

I used Perfect Medium and Detail Black Embossing Powder to stamp a gorgeous antique dressform onto the Spellbinders Labels 4 die cut. I tied some black bakers twine around the die cut and hung a gorgeous key from it, the lifted it up on the backing paper using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment "Our friendship is tailormade" with Jet Black Archival Ink. I finished it off with some stitching around the card's edge.

Simple, but I just love the stamp and the colors of the card. I hope you like it too!!

Busker

This week at Scrap Africa we have a sketch challenge! Here is the sketch we used:

I've used gorgeous Molossi Fencing Wire chipboard and Manor House flowers for this layout. You can also see the gorgeous Manor House Idyllic flowers in Cornflower, Gratitude, and the dramatic red Ruffles flower. I have also added a few small Molossi pink paper roses to the mix.

The photos are of my daughter busking with some of her friends around our little village. It was part of a competition that they actually won!! Her ballet has taken over from her fiddle playing but hopefully she will be able to keep up her playing a bit locally at some informal "seisuns" where they play together in pubs here usually on a weekend afternoon.

I've used some butterflies here from Renea Harrison's Etsy shop, just gorgeous!!
