Getting the Most from your Scraps of Elegance Kits (Part 1!)

For my final project as guest designer for Scraps of Elegance I made 8 (yup 8) cards just using scraps of paper from my 4 previous layouts and one extra sheet of paper!! Today I am going to show three, and the rest I will show throughout the rest of the month.

These kits go so far. I did 4 layouts full of flowers and embellies, 8 cards and I still have gorgeous papers, flowers and embellies left to add into my stash for future projects. I just love how much I can get out of a kit each month, I regularly challenge myself to do 3 layouts and some more cards each month, at the very least 2 layouts are made before adding all the extra gorgeousness into my stash to build it up (not that I need that anymore, my stash is slightly bursting at the seams now!!) My first card features the beautiful FabScraps papers and the tags from the embellishment addons, I cut the lace from the kit in half to edge the bottom of the tags, then added a doily, flowers and twine from my stash.

I just loved this chair chippie from the embellishment kit and just lightly painted it with some shimmery paint, adding a window die cut and some gorgeous Prima flowers and the FabScraps paper from the main kit.

For today's final card, all of my items came from the main kit except the image and pearls. I used a piece of leftover paper from Prima Delight, the gorgeous lace, a cutout frame from a Delight notecard and the gorgeous gold and cream flowers from the kit. I added some gorgeous dies and pearls from Couture Creations in this one, a vintage image from my stash and a gorgeous Martha Stewart monarch butterfly punch.

Consider buying the Scraps of Elegance kit each month, it is like Christmas arriving in your mail box, and it really gives you so much for you to create with.
