Delightful: A Barnmarket Layout for Riddersholm Designs

This week I would love the share a layout I made using the beautiful Barnmarket collection.  I chose the stunning Any Man paper as my base.

I used the Blackboard papers (both sides) for my layers and many of the cut outs pieces in the collection from the Barnmarket page which I just love to tuck into my layers and use as titles. I used some fun Tim Holtz paper clips which I clipped onto my vintage image, and one of Reneabouquest gorgeous butterflies.

I just love the vine and nest I found in my stash and added them to my layout, tucking in another cutout and adding some masking and molding paste.

To finish off my layout I made a mini cluster in the bottom corner, adding more gorgeous blue and brown flowers from Prima and Petaloo and one of Reneabouquets butterflies. I added another cutout, "Life is What You Make it" from the collection.

I just love the colors Connie used in this collection, beautiful!
Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting and thanks for looking!

Ocean Cards for Riddersholm Designs

I have some more projects today for Riddersholm Designs using the beautiful Newport collection! Today I'd like to share two beach themed cards using the beautiful cut outs and the gorgeous Shell paper from the collection. I just love the beach theme runnig through this collection and thought this sheet was perfect to use for the dreaming of summer cards!

In my first card I built a cluster of flowers and shells. I have used a beautiful Ink-it flower, several styles of which can be found in the Riddersholm Shop. I have made some rolled roses with the Shells paper using a La-La Land Crafts die and added a Prima flower from my stash. I have tucked in some winter branches and and anchor die also from La-La Land Crafts and some gorgeous netting.  I added the Friends cutout title for my sentiment and finished off the card with some brown stitching.  I added some Brown Glitter Glass to mimic sand around the card.

For my second card, I started with the beautiful sentiment cut out from the collection: "Friends are Like Seashells We Collect Along the Way". I added some more Ink-it flowers and lots of shells. Again I added some netting and gorgeous, adding the wheel. I finished off the card with a double row of stitching.

I really enjoyed doing these beach themed cards and I hope you like them!

My First Post is Up at Blue Fern Studios!

My first blog post on the Blue Fern Studio blog is up today,
and I'd love for you to come see it and say hello!!

My first project uses the amazing new paper line, Blush. I have chosen a gorgeous vintage image that had just a tint of pink and blue in it...I used those to guide the layout's colors. I chose the beautiful Sweetheart paper for base of my layout.

I used many of the cut out cards and titles from the Blush Calling Card paper, layering them up! You can also see the Postal Textures stamps here in the background, I used Walnut Stain distress ink to make a weathered and distressed stamping background.

You can see two of the chipboard pieces I used, the gorgeous Floral Medley Frame and the Bits of Honey pieces. I used the Imagine Ink Sage and Bonny Blue on the frame leaving some sections plain for an overall distressed look. The Bits of Honey pieces were embossed with the Bonny Blue and I added some Walnut Stain distress ink to age them a little.

I used lots of yummy flowers from my stash in my floral cluster adding a ribbon for extra detail. I finished off the cluster with the heart lock from the Vintage Locks chipboard set.

My next layout features the gorgeous new Timeless collection and a beautiful selfie my daughter took on my iPad. It is always fun to find new photos to use for my layouts taken for me on the iPad, a selfie addicted girl is great for a scrapper! I have used the Timeless Maçonnerie page for the layout base.

You can see some more layers in this page using the Timeless Calling Cards paper cut outs. Under the photo I have used the middle clock from the Roman Clock Set - Large. I used the Imagine Ink Mystic Plum embossing powder to color up the chipboard, adding some gesso for distressing.

I love the retro font used for the Timeless chipboard! This layout is called Timeless Beauty, which I happen to think my daughter is! I have used Imagine Ink Mystic Plum embossing powder and gesso again to color and distress the title.

I have added some gorgeous flowers and a nest which I think works well with the bird imagery in one of the calling cards. I have also tucked in some tags under the photo cluster. I also used Seedless Preserves distress ink and a stone wall mask to tone in with the papers. I added a bit of blue and brown splashes too.

I finished off my layout with a beautiful handcrafted butterfly by Renea.

Follow Your Dreams: January Sketch Challenge for Blue Fern Studios

Happy 2016!

I am so excited to be on the Blue Fern Studios design team this year and would love to share my first work here with you for their January sketch challenge, come join in for a chance to win!

Here is the gorgeous sketch to work with:

For my base page I used the beautiful Allegro sheet from Frolic.
The journaling cards came from Montage.

Here you can see a close up of the beautiful Royal Monarch chipboard butterfly. I have used the beautiful Honey and Cotton Candy Imagine Ink embossing powders to color it.  You can also see the Essential Textures stamp used in Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and the Texture Circles stamp in Walnut Stain distress ink.

I layered up lots and lots of the journalling cards from Montage on my layout, I just love the details they give to the layering behind the image.  I have also used the Fabulous arrow from Arrow Words embossed in Honey Imagine Ink Embossing Powder .

I just love the vintage ballerina on the layout, you will probably see me using a lot of vintage images as they are a favorite of mine! I have used a few pieces of the Turkish Bits tucked into the layout, again embossed with Honey and Cotton Candy Imagine Ink embossing powders.

I hope you like my layout, I had a lot of fun creating this!
