Delightful: A Layout for La-La Land Crafts

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is All Shapes and Sizes. I decided to do a circle layout for this week, something I don't do very often! Of course I used lots of La-La Land Crafts dies too! I created this layout using gorgeous papers from the Riddersholm Tailgate Marked collection.

I decided I wanted to create a frame using several of my dies. I have a tutorial for this on the La La Land blog coming up tomorrow! I started my frame background with the gorgeous Lattice Doily Border Die, adding a frame cut from two of the Stitched Nested Circles. For an accent on the frame and as part of the layouts design element I used the hinge die from the Booktab and Labels Die and added pearl accents for the "screws".



I added a flower cluster to my layout using Riddersholm Ink It flower in white and some pretty resin pieces. I added rolled roses using my Rolled Rose Large  and Rolled Rose Small and Medium dies. I tucked in some leaves from the Open Leaf Flourish Die. I finished off the layout with some twine accents and some cut out pieces again from Riddersholm.

1,2,3 Challenge for Sugar Creek Hollow

This week our challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow is One, Two, Three! Make a vintage project which must include one vintage image, two patterned papers and three embellishments and join our challenge!

I have layered two patterned papers here, one vintage image and for the embellishments included flowers, metal embellie and doily for my choices. I finished off the card with a bit of stitching around the edges for a fun detail.

Wonderful Life: Hidden Extra for La-La Land Crafts

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is Hidden Extra. I made my hidden extra this week using tags made with the Scallop Bracket Die Set  and tucked behind my photos. Of course I had to add in several more dies from La-La Land Crafts dies!

Here you can see the gorgeous Scalloped Banner Die and the Lattice Doily Border Die. I have tucked in some Cherry Blossom Branch Die behind my flowers. I have also used a quote from the Beautiful Day Sentiments Stamp Set which I thought fit beautifully with the layout.

I have added the gorgeous bridge chipboard piece from the Tea Garden Frames and Shapes Kit, lightly inking it with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. Here you can see one of my tags tucked in behind my daughter's photo. On the edges of the tag I have used the Scallop Bracket Die Set. I then used the Build a Bee Die set to add bees to the edges of my tags to help pull them out and as design elements, fitting in with a bee on the pattern paper.

Here you can see where I pulled out the tag and you can see the hidden journalling I did on the back. To finish off the layout I added some background stamping and some masking and molding paste using my Shimmerz Texturez.

Oodles of Doodles Challenge for La-La Land Crafts

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is Oodles of Doodles. I doodled a frame around my photo and added some cute hearts, of course I added lots of  La-La Land Crafts dies and stamps too!

I kept this layout relatively clean but I do like the way it turned out. Because of the playful doodles on the photo I didn't want to go to my normal vintage papers so picked out some fun playful papers in pretty soft tones I like. These papers are from Basic Grey Fresh Cut.  I added some Petaloo flowers to my cluster and accented them with the Cherry Blossom Branch Die.  I tucked in the gorgeous Honeycomb Die  behind the photo and added a gorgeous butterfly using the  Fancy Butterfly Die 

.

To finish off the layout I added some misting and drips and some stitching. I added the sentiment "A Dream is a wish your heart makes" from the Beautiful Day Sentiments Stamp Set and the central heart from the Heart Doily Die to make it complete.
