Hi scrappy friends!! I'm here today sharing my take on Berry71bleu's November Mood Board. I usually do layouts for this challenge but my daughter's birthday was this past weekend and I really wanted to make a vintage card for her!
For my base layer I used a gorgeous wooden page "Compass" from the new Riddersholm Design collection Newport. This tones in pefectly with the wood in the mood board. I added lots of metal pieces on the card, adding some turquoise paint to give a distressed and aged look. I've also added lace and the brown and blue colors from the moodboard.
My daughter is obsessed with ballet and so of course I had to use a vintage ballerina on my card for her, adding a few modern touches like the Happy 13. I used the Special cut out from collection and love the metal key that says "dreams" and the the word tag that says "the journey awakens the soul", they fit well for her big dream of dancing and the journey she is taking. She may or may not make it to her final destination of a professional careeer but I hope she enjoys the journey along the way!
Here is the gorgeous moodboard Sylwia created:
I hope you can find the time to play along with us this month.
