Smile and Be Happy

Hello fellow scrappers, I'm back with my first layout using the gorgeous Barn Market papers!! I chose the Spottet Rose paper for my layout today, using a gorgeous cut out tag and title from the Barnmarket page.  I just love this photo of my daughter teaching her dad how to do selfies!

On my background I used a Prima mask and Shimmerz Texturez then added my photo. I used lots of Prima and Petaloo flowers from my stash and cut out some butterflies from the Barnmarket page.

I added some gorgeous branches from the Winter Branches set of La-La Land Crafts dies, love the design!

Here I tucked in a gorgeous chatelaine chipboard.by Wycinaka... I added in my title and a few more butterflies and added a few splashes to finish it off!  Check out the new Barn Market collection in the store, it is just beautiful!!!!

Explore

Hi Cathi here with my layout for the October challenge! This month our challenge is to use the colors orange, brown and gold and incorporate layers of leaves in your project. You can be inspired by the beautiful moodboard below!

I chose to use a autumn themed vintage image for my layout and ltos of layers of different leaves...you can see the masked leaves on the base of my layout, using Shimmerz Dazzlers.  The explore chipboard comes from the our sponsor this month Creative Embellishments from the Adventure Word Set.

Here you can see the gorgeous Flourish 1 chipboard from Creative Embellishments, I've tucked in a Prima flower and gold frame behind the photo adding a bit of corrugated cardboard.

The gorgeous paper I used this month is Paisley and Vine Pathway from Blue Fern Studios, a previous sponsor this year. You can see lots more leaves I have added into the layout and a fun Dragonfly from Renee Bouquets. I finished off the layout with a bit of chevron stamping and some splashes.

Early Christmas Cards with Riddersholm Designs Christmas Story

This week I thought I'd get a head start on my Christmas cards! I used the gorgeous Christmas Story papers full of gorgeous muted pinks, greens and browns.

As usual, there are some gorgeous cut out images in the collection. I used this vintage Santa image and layered three sheets from the collection. For all my cards I used stunning red poinsettia blooms and for this card I added some pine cones, sparkles and a brad. I finished off the card with a twine loop bow.

I took another gorgeous image from the Christmas Story collection and set it on top of a gorgeous doily made from the papers. Again I used the poinsettias, pine cones and brads to decorate this card, adding a silk ribbon bow and a tag with a Christmas sentiment. For the finishing touch I did some stitching around the card's edge.

For my final card I took an image from my stash and then layered on lots of flowers, another poinsettia and some gorgeous Ink-It Cherry Blossoms. I added twine around the card and as a bow. Finally, I added stitching for a finishing touch.

I just love all of Riddersholm's Christmas collections! Look out for Christmas Cosy in store now!

Autumn Color Inspiration for La-La Land Crafts

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is Autumn Color Inspiration!! I just love the colors of Autumn and these BoBunny Autumn papers were perfect to use for this long with lots of gorgeous La-La Land Crafts dies.

Here you can see the leaf branch and maple leaf dies from the Autumn Leaves Die (Set of 3) set into my flower cluster. I have also added some rolled roses using the Rolled Rose Large and Rolled Rose Small and Medium dies.

I had fun using a "Hey" flair from my stash and adding some texture with brown raffia into my flower cluster. Here you can see the gorgeous Fancy Butterfly Die and more of the Autumn Leaves Die (Set of 3) set leafy branches!

To layer under my photo I have used the always gorgeous Heart Doily Border Die, more of the Autumn Leaves Die (Set of 3) set leaves and the raffia, adding a few word stickers to help add to the layout. I just love the colors on this layout today!

I have decided to step down from the DT at La-La Land Crafts this month so this is actually my last official post for them, though I am sure you will see me using their dies in many projects in the future! They are a wonderful team to work with and an awesome company with so many of my favorite dies! Thank you so much Irina and Eric for having me on your team for the last year and a half, I am stepping back and starting to get back to knitting and quilting but will still continue to keep my hand in card making and layouts as I love them too much to stop altogether!

En Pointe!

Hello friends! I am back again for Riddersholm Designs with my latest project, a layout using the gorgeous Vintage Venture Blossoms paper! This week I decided to use some fun photos my daughter took of herself using my Ipad and a timer of her new pointe shoes, she's into her second pair already. Sigh. Hopefully for my budget these last a little longer.

In this first photo you can see I have used some Huntington Garden butterfly tag cut outs. I have also used a Riddersholm Ink-it bloom and tucked in a cute Prima ballerina resin and some twine loops.

I added some gorgeous Ink it cherry blossoms and some Riddersholm Glitter Glass to my layout. Here you can see some the butterflies I inked and added to the layout, as well as the masks and stamps I have used to add texture and dimension.  I titled the layout "En Pointe" "on pointe shoes"!

In my final photo you can see more flowers and resins added to the cluster, I tried to keep the movement flowing diagonally across the page. My feature flower is from Manor House flowers and is called appropriately enough for me, a Ballerina flower!

I had a great time adding layers of masking misting, stamping and glitter to my background and as always adding some great cut outs from the Riddersholm collections. Thanks for stopping by!!

Time Flies for La-La Land Crafts

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is Something for the Girls!!  I of course had to choose a photo of my girls, in a rare smiling photo together lol! This one was unplanned, so is probably why I got it, as if I asked them to pose together these days, much fighting would ensue and my camera shy youngest would probably run away.

Here in my flower cluster you can see rolled roses using the Rolled Rose Large and the Rolled Rose Small and Medium dies. I have also tucked in leaves from the Open Leaf Flourish Die and a piece of the Honeycomb Die.

The gorgeous papers from Blue Ferns Studios gave me the perfect color combinations for this layout. I added a gorgeous deep red Fancy Butterfly Die  and tucked in some of the cogs from the Steampunk Heart Cogs set.

Here are some of my favorite La-La Land Crafts dies: the Steampunk Clock Die and the Booktab and Labels Die hinge. I added turquoise crystals to many of the dies for a bit of added detail. And since my girls are growing up way too fast, I thought the clock and title "Time Flies" fit the layout perfectly.
